The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.2 [K 7.0.2] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.3.x/5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

[RESOLVED}Users can delete their own posts
I've had the same issue. The user send a pm to me that he had the option to delete posts. I asked if I could use his account to try it and got the same message that I didn't have admin or moderator rights. The issue just disappeared after a couple of days. A note, the users at our forum can always delete there own post if nobody has reacted yet.
Yeah I created a fake user to discover this. In the Kunena config I have it sent to "Never" to allow guests to delete. From what I can tell it seems that even if there are posts the user can delete.
This won't make for a fun community if everyone can just delete their comments.
